Subject:Re: George/Coupe - Stop Being Childish / You're Right

George,
I wouldn't be worried about it falling off as much as the way it will
affect the handling in any emergency maneuver. Imagine a wet road and
having to hit the brakes while in a turn. It would look like the movies
when the rear suddenly becomes the front. I almost did the jack knife
thing towing a Rabbit. And that was on dry pavement. I do think your
first response was a bit impolite though.

Dennis

That is exactly what I thought about Coupe's most recent submission; I
guess
I should have allowed my instinct to prevail and ignored him. Still,
although
the message has faded into the rhetoric, I am adamant about one thing:
carrying a 400 (350 in Bizarrospeak) pound scooter on a hitch carrier
cantilevered 2
feet beyond the end of the receiver is a risky and foolish thing to do.
My
final words on this subject are these: to anyone planning to copy this
thing -
DON'T!
