Sorry to jump in late on this thread but just got back from a week of
camping with my telescopes.
Mark, I believe you will find that the different pressure
recommendations, even though for 14" rim, are different because one
set of numbers is for 185's and the other for the 205 width tires. 
The loading is different because of the tire size and is not based on
the rim diameter.
