unfortunately, no, i havent..  the surgery did NOT go well, it was not a
sucess. i will most likely have to have a 2nd surgery. if you remember Max's vivid
post, i have all those symptoms plus more. im doing good to make it from the
bed to the bathroom at this point.  lesson to be learned, do not let a health
problem go, get it taken care of when you first notice it.

as for my initial inquiry about the SA big brakes -
a number of vendors had them last year for around $500 or so for the kit.
well now they are $800+ for the same kit, IF you can find them.
 most of the vendors who carried them before are not carrying them anymore or
are just drop shipping them from Overland.  this is because a certain part of
the kit is no longer being made by VW of SA. (this info is coming from a
major wholesaler of these kits)   So, those vendors who still have them, have
raised the price on the remaining kits, and once they are gone , they are gone.

anyway, i was hoping for a big brake setup, but at this point its not looking
feasable.

anyone out there know what's stronger than vicodin and is affordable and
available over the counter?  grrrr..
