I bought some VDO temp senders on ebay and only need 4 of them, so the other 8 can be had pretty cheap. $10 each inc. shippping. Max of 2 per customer so we can spread the booty out amicably. First, a little history/background. these temp senders have the 14mmx1.5 drainplug thread on them with aluminum washer. They have a large spade terminal and a smaller one on them. the big one goes to the gauge and the smaller one, interestingly enough, is a "cut in "switch that closes around 120C. That may be a little late for those of you wanting a fan to kick in for an external oil cooler, but the temp sender still works regardless. I guess it could trigger a warning light on the dash as well These are NOS from 1998 and are the 0-150C range. Will work on 6-24 volt systems. Although I haven't checked, if you plan on using this for a drain plug application, make sure you have the depth as these senders from the washer to the tip of the sender probe are a little over 1.5" in length. They would defiintely work in a "Ken Lewis" set up where the sender is mounted in a flat steel pate covering the oil filler hole(he gets his oil in through an Empi breather tower over the old generator stand localtion). Water temp senders could also be set up as well. They would likely work on a host of other metric vehicles you may own as well. P mail me if you want to get one or two. I have 6 on hand and the other two coming shortly. Bullwinkle
