>The only van troubles were the previously mentioned: 1) oil buzzer went off due to elect problems >behind the dash, duct-tape provided a temp fix; 2) Speedo cable broke; 3) had to tighten one >coolant hose clamp; 4) had to clean & lub the sliding door latch; 4) Metal brake-line had to be >replaced, but that was a pre-existing problem 5) Stebro muffler bracket broke off, and I wired >that up with a coat-hanger (again pre-exisitng problem). Malcolm, Sounds like you had a fabulous trip! Interestingly, I also suffered a broken Stebro muffler bracket. They'll send you a free replacement (same design, but they say a tougher alloy) but you have to pull the muffler and get it welded locally. (It cost me $15 for the welds which is cheap but pulling the muffler was a major pain) I've only had to do that once. I've had lots of trouble with the required fiber gaskets though -- do yours start to leak (and then burn up) after a few weeks or months? tabe johnson/87 Westy/xtabe@yahoo.com __________________________________________________________ Find your next car at http://autos.yahoo.ca
