With all the discussion about weight & such I thought I would ask:
What have you done to improve your mileage on your vanagon?

I have also wondered if a vanagon could benefit with a hybrid-ized engine?
I wonder if you can fit the motor/generator of a Honda Insight between
Engine and Transaxle? it's only supposed to be an inch thick?
