I've done this.  I think I got the tool from Napa.
It's a tool with a screw driver type handle. 
The end has a T piece.  One side has a larger looped hole and
the other has a smaller one.  There is a slight angle bend on the 
loops at the ends of the T.

Looking through the archives I found mention of homemade and purchased window/windshield chrome
molding installation tools.  Could someone draw me a diagram or send a picture of a homemade
one...or would someone tell me where to purchase the correct one for Vanagon windows.
