last time i was in germany ('98)  i saw very few T3's.   the road crews were
still using a few or the orange painted dokas here and there (looked like they
were on their last legs), but that was about it.   i was NO T2's and i only
saw one T1 ..a 21 window sunroof bus, and it was restored and on the back of a
car hauler.

i guess strict TUV standards keep the older vehicles off the roads.   i saw
no beetles either..
