More than a few west-coast U.S. Busses (and to a smaller extent, Vanagons) have actually gone to the U.K. British and Japanese buyers have increasingly been importing Westfalia campers and vintage busses from the U.S. west coast due to the dwindling supply of solid ones in Europe (and virtually any in Japan). The weak Dollar has accelerated this trend, as it makes U.S. exports comparatively cheap for those with foreign currency and the means to import one. Of course Westfalia "Vanagons" (T25's/T3's) were somewhat rare in the U.K. to begin with, as Westfalia only made a LHD version which was not intended for the British market. On the other hand this resulted in a wide range of uniquely British VW camper conversions. I've seen some upscale British T3 campers that look like a luxury penthouse compared to a Westfalia (with a price tag to match). - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW _____________________________________________ Toll-Free for Orders by PART # : 1-866-BUS-DEPOT
