The best advise? Remove the switch and wire original rad switch back the way it was.Controlling fan from inside does nothing to solve real problem - leaks in coolant system. No, not coolant leaks, air leaks. Air inside cooling system causes high temps due to blocking flow If there is reduced flow fan will not turn on but even if it was on it will not do much So, check all hoses and clamps for signs of leaks Of course, under Vanagon Leon On Sun, 28 Aug 2005 11:53:30 -0700, gary goldey <clonestar7@YAHOO.COM> wrote: > i have a pre-owned condition on my 84 vanagon. the previous owner has > the radiator fanswitch wired to a spare dashboard defroster switch--i > have to toggle it on as needed--it isnt meant to take the pounding of > all that current and does anyone have an alterative switch idea? any > links?--i never bothered to figure out the original problem...too cheap > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam?
