Hmm. Those BP are polycrystalline type solar cells. More power, but more expensive. I chose to go with the amorphous variety I got a couple of BatterySaver SE 18 watt panels (available at Camping World for $180 each to members). They already come with an controller to prevent overcharging of the battery, plus all sorts of connectors to either plug into a cigarette lighter (charging a battery that way), or provide a cigarette lighter socket (so that you can power things directly from the panels). They can daisy chain off of each other to provide higher amperage. Have extension cords so I can place them on the roof or wherever. One can snuggle inside the luggage rack and be totally invisible to anyone walking past. So I only end up with about 36 watts (max) of charging capacity. That's enough to keep the battery charged, as I don't use all that much electricity when camping. My laptop can run 3-4 hours on its own batteries, and if I use my laptop more than that when camping, I need to have my head examined.... Kim Brennan 86 Syncro. 91 Westy Syncro. 90 Tristar Vienna VA.
