 No, Joe. My leg is not shorter. It's just BenT.
 I suspect the block was installed because the Audi seat is much higher than 
the Vanagon seat. I am just speculating here. I could not find a seat 
adjuster in the dark.
 The knob you are probably referring to is the choke(?for a lack of the 
correct term?) for the old diesel set-up. Or it could just be the eject 
button for the passenger side.=(
