Wow, Jim, 27 mph! And I thought my van had trouble getting out of it's own way! Gas at the Crescent Park Chevron at the top of the hill here in Beautiful BC was $114.4 a litre when I drove past five minutes ago. A litre is almost exactly a US quart, and the dollar is at about $1.23, meaning approx $3.90 a US gallon. We have been seeing a buck a litre all spring and summer, and we're happy to drive nothing but VWs and to work locally. When we lost a rod bearing in Oregon, it cost half of what the U-Haul truck rental was to feed the mighty V-10 that towed Dixie home.
