The September edition of Family Motor Coaching has a real nice article on the Winnebago Navion. This is a Class C motor home based on the Sprinter chassis. They stated that the estimated fuel economy is 17-19 mpg. The best they were able to get on their test trips was 14. Could we purchase a T5 or a Sprinter based (Like the James Cooke) in Europe and import in North America our self? Has anybody tried to import a car from Europe and what could be the challenge? I have been looking at Sprinter base camper and they are amazing with good gas mileage but pricing in North America for the new Westfalia/Sprinter or other conversion van are way too high.
