Answering several responses at one.
First, the problem of the red LED not blinking when first turned on started 
before the refrig was removed so I don't think the problem was caused by the 
removal.

Can anyone explain how the ignition system on the 90/91 Dometics works? What 
can cause the LED to not blink when first turned on but work okay and the 
fridge light off just fine a few minutes (or a couple of hours) later?
