Actually this change occurred somewhere in 1989 at Westfalia's factory..
Some 1989 Westies did not have the shorter door (including mine, which is
late 1988 production but a 1989 VIN #). Westfalia did not necessarily do
their conversions in order of chassis production date, so Westfalia running
changes do not always mirrror VIN numbers.
