I took a small funnel and shoved a vinyl tube with 3/8" ID on the end of it. The tube was about 24" long. I then removed the fill plug from the tranny and stuck the other end of the tube into it from the engine compartment above. I poured the gear oil into the funnel and watched it enter the tranny. When full, I removed the tube and replaced the plug. No pumps, no squeeze bottles, no mess. Getting it in there requires some sort of squeeze bottle arrangement, I think. How it's done, I couldn't tell ya'. I filled mine the "easy" way, by tilting the differential assembly on its side on the garage floor when I had everything disassembled... -- John Bange '90 Vanagon "Keine Bange, wir holen die Zange!" -- John Bange '90 Vanagon "Keine Bange, wir holen die Zange!"
