I've been using mine as an occasional work vehicle lately as it actually gets better gas mileage than the '79 3/4ton Dodge van I normally use. I don't haul anything heavy around in it though-- just a couple ladders, a few boxes/reels of wire, and my tools. If I'm doing serious electrical work I take the Dodge, mostly because it's already loaded with 750-odd pounds of all the parts, fittings, and tools I MIGHT need. I'd actually consider replacing it with a Vanagon if I could get one of those bare-bones 1.6 turbo diesel panel vans they DIDN'T sell here. -- John Bange '90 Vanagon "Keine Bange, wir holen die Zange!"
