Ah, but there are people that are no more (or less) moronic pay that kinda money (or more) for a 45-53 Split Window Bug or 50-67 Splittie Windshield Type 2 these days. I missed the boat in 1986 when I sold my restored 50 Bug for a measly $7000 and again in 1997 when I sold my (original owner) 67 21 Wdw Dlx Bus for $6500. Both would command over $25,000 each or more today in the condition they were in at the time. But, most often than not, a person doesn't usually get back what they put into their ride (I know I never will on what I've invested my Westy). -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 10/12/05, Don Williams <williams@fire.biol.wwu.edu> wrote: > Points out something that I've thought many, many times: The best place in > the world to sell a vanagon is this listserv; the worst place in the world > to buy a vanagon is this listserv.
