I agree with Chris on this on. I have been involved with AGT, World Challenge and SCCA Pro Racing for years and have seen unbelievable wheel applications withstand extreme race conditions. They hold until they come in contact with solid objects. Most of the time when two wheels or even four go off the track they hold. When wheels have come off it is usually a broken spindle or loose lugs (happens all the time). --- JordanVw@AOL.COM wrote: > In a message dated 10/13/05 10:51:20 AM Eastern > Daylight Time, > motorbruce@HOTMAIL.COM writes: > > > > Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of a > wheel failure on a Vanagon > > due > > to overloading? > > > > > > bruce, i have never seen a wheel failure from > overloading. the only damaged > wheels i have ever seen in my life were from > collisions or curb or pothole > damage. > > chris > Dylan Friedman insyncro@yahoo.com 91 Syncro Westy GL 91 Syncro L 90 Carat 89 Wolfsburg GL 87 Syncro GL (SVX powered) __________________________________ Yahoo!
