 Couldn't you simply order and even taller ratio? Or is this a stock gear
set? Otherwise, it turns into a very expensive automatic gearbox for such a
small gain.

After working out the numbers, it works out to be just too expensive.
Daryl's price for rebuildinng the slushbox is cheaper than cost of the rign
and pinion.
