The hose actually will shrink very little, but that very small amount and a clamp that may have been just under pressure will leak when the temps drop far enough compared to the temps that they were installed at. Seen it often over the years. Minnesota when growing up (physically anyway) then Korea (hoses fastened and refitted in Okinawa in January and then moved to Korean mountain tops in January) and now in Colorado. The Korean trips were always very invigorating. Laying on a sunny breezy beach one day and the next day laying in a snow drift on a windy mountain top and tightening leaking clamps. That warm 40 degree tent sure felt good after that job. jimt On 10/28/05 6:30 PM, "Andrew Grebneff" <andrew.grebneff@STONEBOW.OTAGO.AC.NZ> wrote: >>> anyway, my point is, those of you who have installed a fuel line >>> replacement >>> kits such as those that listvendors sell, you should go BACK and check >>> your >>> fuel line clamps...make sure they are tight.. i think it was the >>> combination >>> of the temp drop, and rubber shrinkage that made them come loose... > > That doesn't speak well for the quality of the hoses.
