Oh my gosh! An 83 water cooled. The extreme first of the breed. Inspect
hoses and fittings carefully. This cooling system has many unique parts
and hoses that are no longer available. Plan ahead for all your journeys
and maintenance needs. Best of luck.

Live and learn- instead of getting my new engine from Boston Bob like I
was planning, I let the mechanic talk me into getting it someplace he
has dealt with before. Unfortunately, after waiting a week for the
engine, the wrong one was shipped- air cooled instead of water cooled.
Now we have to wait another week for the right one! I had hoped to be in
sunny warm southern Cal by now!! Michigan is getting a bit nippy, plus I
am having to camp out with friends and family whereever I can find a
bed. With a dog and a cat, that's not easy. Think happy thoughts for me!
