Subject:Any Clutch Slave Cylinder Secrets?
From:Tom Salicos

I think that the European theater in WWII would have wrapped up much sooner if they had GIs work on Vanagons before going into battle.

"Look, Joe. There's the guy who designed the clutch slave cylinder mounting bracket, there in that machine gun nest!"

"Yaaaaaah, I'll get you, you lousy ......"

I dropped my motor and tranny today and wound up removing the slave cylinder to replace it. What a royal b!tch. I tend to work on my own, rather than call my son or have the little lady come out. Sometimes it's fun to skull out ways of doing things solo. This is not fun.

So what's up with the slave cylinder and the hidden bolt head? Is there a smart way to R&R that thing?

ps:
I know there were no Vanagons back then, but it helps me illustrate my point. Poetic license and all that.
