VW welds the plate in with the regular tracks still there so you should
too. The new plate should be positioned all the way to the front of the
old tracks. The front edge of the new plate sticks forward about an inch
past the old tracks. The swivel seat must be spun around backward
whenever you want to remove or install the battery.
