My daughter is at UAB in Birmingham, AL in her 86 Vanagon (AKA: "Mystery Machine") and everyone waves at her. At least that is what she tells poor ol' Dad. A FOX TV reporter even left her his card. Seems they want to do a short feature on the van & her. If anyone is familiar with the "Scooby Do" and the "Mystery machine" she looks like and plays the part of Daphne. And even then the drivers don't wave. They look at me as some kind of nut job behind the wheel who has something wrong with his hand. Sad there are no more of these vehicles here than there are. Makes junk yard pickin's real slim! Regards, John Rodgers
