I once had to resort to substituting a stainless capscrew for the bleeder in a rear heater core, but, once the bleeder hole in the heater core was plugged I did not want to keep running the capscrew in and out of those plastic threads every time I was going to bleed the system. So, before I wrung it in, I grooved it for the O-ring, drilled it through and tapped it for a smaller capscrew which was installed with a fiber washer (it's a good way to use up old Amal carb kits). The small nested screw became the bleeder with the M10 capscrew staying put whenever it was time to vent the coolant system. George
