Most likely, the rings will become un-seated in the head removal process. So
theoretically, they will not seat again. Personally I would replace the
rings. If it is still together I would also do a leakdown test or at least a
compression test to see if any valves might be going. I had to replace an
exhaust valve at 170k miles.
