Hi All (Denverites especially,) I was out checking out the U-pull-it yards today and saw a 1980 Westy, completely intact, at the above-mentioned yard. It's tan with no body damage and has newer tan door panels and front seats, the pop-top is perfect (except for some mold on the inside) and the canvas was in good shape, too; even the rear hatch screen was there. All of the kitchen stuff and cabinets are intact as well. It almost looks like somebody drove it in there--it had a sticker on the doorjamb that said the oil had been changed by Blazer Automotive last April. Whoever owned it apparently took very good care of it. The "Big-O--Aspen" tires were nearly new, but didn't have reinforced sidewalls and only 35 PSI, so I passed on them. I figured I'd let y'all know so somebody from the list could get some good stuff if they need it (working on my Vanagon Karma points.) Joe T.
