A few years ago I switched to platinum plugs and the van's idle jumped 500 rpms. New plug wires and another + 500 rpms. I have a carb, so there is no ECU to monitor/control this. Unless you have some bad plugs, I'd not suspect the plugs for poor mpg. You could pull the plugs and inspect them for gray, black, white tips as evidence of a poorly running cylinder. I am looking for any other suggestions on what I might look at or experience with platinum plugs versis regular plugs. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Personals Single?
