Since so many folks seemed to be expressing interest in our conversion in
KIT form, we started talking about the possibility. Our main reason for not
offering a kit, was because support hours are so much higher, and in a
small company this can be extremely difficult. However, since we are also a
very tech saavy small company, we could take advantage of various online
support tools to avoid ever answering the same install question twice, and
rapidly building the support documentation and knowledgebase as well. In
any case, I need to gauge interest level again. Please contact me off-list
if you have any interest in the Zetec conversion in Kit form. The kit is
still more complete than what is out there, but we'd leave sourcing the
engine, wiring harness, alternator, power steering pump etc, to you (I can
give a full list of what would be needed when you contact me). The kit
would also be at least a couple thousand dollars less. If we can get 4
manual transmission folks on board in enough time, I think we might be able
to make it happen.
