For our vanagon links, why not employ the tool of "social tagging" instead?
Del.icio.us is a good place. There are some links tagged there under
"vanagon" already. All of us would do the community service by tagging our
favorite vanagon links. The notable links would get highlighted and pushed
to the top by virtue of their popularity.

(NB: I have no affiliation with del.icio.us other similar tools are also
available)
