AGREED these make wonderful furniture..  especially when you have  a family of vanagon owners and a VW club coming over to watch Herbie movies on the projector in the VW garage.. 

last spring in the month leading up to the release of Herbie fully loaded. 
I hosted a moviethon.. had 6 vanagon love seats and 1 85single center capts chair 
never a complaint from any of the attendees about uncomfortable seating.. and I can't say that about the standard theater seats. 

had a great time and didn't worry about anyone spilling popcorn or soda on my seats.
