Westfalia makes a lot more than just campers! Here is an incomplete list of
stuff they made for the T3 (Vanagon).

- Factory Large wooden bed for the single cab.
- Factory and aftermarket 2.0 and 2.5t trailer hitches.
- Factory rear spare tire carrier.
- The mirrors on that truck.

The plate that you see is on the wooden box, not the truck. The other plate
that is covered in paint is on all European T3s - not sure if it is there on
the North American ones - this is under the driver seat.

Don't look like too bad of a truck - 25 years old so it can legally go to
the USA!

Subject: Ebay, FS, single cab in Germany

I saw this single cab for sale on Ebay. It's in Germany and I'm not
suggesting anyone buy it, but ...

It says it is a Westfalia edition and has a Westfalia Werk serial number
plate in addition to the VW VIN plate. (The VW VIN has a handful of ZZZs
as was
discussed on the list a week or so ago.)

So what's Westfalia have to do with a single cab? They can drop a giant
sleeping cushion in the truck bed? ;) There are some interesting "drawers"
in the
the compartments under the truck bed--Is that what Westfalia contributed?
