If DUMB @ss people can rearend a cop car with it's flashing lights while it's on the shoulder of the road. 

then theres really NOTHING you can do to protect yourself.. 

though i agree, better illumination rearward will keep it where only the truely blind will rearend you.. 

but it's still too much of a possibility. 

amazes me everytime i see one of those cops videos..
