BTDT (sort of).  The gas guage in our Westy Syncro does not read correctly and the odometer does not work.  So far I have only missed once and that was by about five miles.  Unfortunately it was the five miles north of Trappers Creek on the Parks Hwy inroute home from Denali National Park.  Thankfully we had just left a coworkers cabin and he found us on the side of the road as he was  headed home, he went back to the cabin and returned with a few gallons of gasoline.  A Vanagon saved by a Subaru, beats walking five miles each way.  This weeks task is to remove and repair the speedometer/odometer, I don't feel like tackling the fuel sender with the transmission in the way.
