I once got ~17.8 mpg coming from Jalama beach in SB county CA, and ran on fumes Im sure between Gaviota and Goleta (thanks again maps.google.com for helping me keep them in the proper order) and by the time I got to fill up I am sure it was damn close to 16 gallons. Since I have an AT with worse mileage, shouldnt I be entitiled to a gas tank w/o the shifter linkage crease in the top? Im sure thats a gallon or 2 lost volume right there. How does the synchro tank fit 18 gallons? Does this have something to do with the right rear fill port I have seen? I would really prefer not to give up the spare for the 6 gallon SS donut tank up front. Robert 90 MV
