Just swapped out my port side axle due to a clicking CV joint. I was getting a click under load on left sweeping turns and it WAS my left CV. Which was obviously replaced once already (new looking with newer 6mm Allen studs while other side has 12point) Anyways, I took apart the offending axle and found perfect boots, perfect grease and good looking metal every where! Actually these axle was tighter then the original on the starboard side (230K miles!) but yet has some type of click that was very pronounced at times. The click is gone with the new CV/axle assembly. Should I keep this unit for when my starboard side goes, or is there some flaw in it that will just get worse if used? Lets here those stories of who has lived through such! Thanks all. Shawn 2.1L 1996 Westy 235K miles
