A simple "please end the politics" is appropriate.

Name calling, innuendo, and cheap shots, followed by "I don't want to hear
any more, so go away" is tantamount to declaring a right to have the last
word at all costs

Don't misconstrue, I mean no offense, only that there is something wrong
with wanting the topic to end, but adding your opinion to it first, and them
demanding that it go away.
