I ran across this web-site that shows you how to build your own tear drop camping trailer. This would be a great looking and light weight tow behind for any vanagon.  It cold be used just to haul extra stuff or have another place for kids to sleep etc. 

This would make a really fun project, it's simple enough that you might actually finish it and not end up divorced and broke.  (grin)
