I was just talking to Rudi Schaffner (Schaffner Motors
http://www.biznw.com/schaffner/ ) and he asked me if I would post a note to
the lists.  Those of you that are familiar with Rudi's operation are aware
of the vast array of vintage parts Rudi has available at his shop in
Lynnwood, Wa.  Well, Rudi is going to move the used parts section of the
business to a different location that better suits his Internet sales
operation.  But, he doesn't want to move the big, bulky stuff (doors,
sliders, etc.) so he says he is ready to "Wheel and deal" on the big stuff.
He has parts and body panels for everything from vintage Bugs through the
Vanagons.  So for those of you in the process of or planning major
restoration work this might be an opportunity to score some needed parts at

And PLEASE, don't send your questions to me.  I have no idea what all Rudi
has in stock and know even less about vintage VW stuff, I'm strictly a

real asset to the VW community for many years.
