Any comments on Ken's kit vs the GoWesty kit?

There's two issues that give you the gas-pump drips.

The one you are experiencing is common to early vanagons. Sometime late in
production, VW started putting in a filler neck with a check valve down at
the tank end (just a caged ball that floats to shut off the flow).

The other issue is dripping underneath the van after a fill-up, there are a
number of seals that can cause this. Commonly, it's one of these:
         - The plastic left-to-right crossover hose on top of the tank (or
it's plastic fittings).
         - The lines to one of the vent canisters (you have one inside each
front wheel arch).

Ken at Van-Again (www.vanagain.com) used to sell a gas tank reseal kit with
all the parts you'd ever need when you drop the gas tank, I know he was
having trouble sourcing the crossover line recently, you can check with his
website.
