RE: Campbell Nelson VW in Seattle On the few times I've used their parts department they were easy to deal with and had obscure Vanagon parts in stock and were willing to deal a little on prices. My experience in the shop has also been positive. My understanding is that the Service Manager there was driving a beautiful '90 or '91 Carat for his personal car up until a couple of years ago. And when I took my '90 in earlier this year to have them diagnose the problems with the air conditioning they tried their damnedest to talk me out of it because it would cost me to much money. I had them just check the pressure and try to pull a vacuum. It wouldn't hold vacuum and I told them to just button it up, charge was less than an hour shop time. With good VW shops in the area I don't go there for other things, but my mechanic sent me there for alignment and AC work.
