My brother's roommate has a late 80's Scirocco and he's got a potentiometer
wired to the O2 sensor circuit. He claims this lets him tune for performance
or economy as needed. I told him he needed a carbon fiber hood with a big
scoop and a louder stereo if he really wanted to go faster.

I don't think there's much you can do to/with a stock digifant.
