My '84 Westy has lousy fuel economy--right now it's getting around 12 mpg in combined city/highway driving, and has never gotten more than 18mpg on highway-only driving. This is with winter California gas, 87-89 octane, pretty light foot on the accelerator. Sometimes it has gotten as low as 8.9 in city driving. What's been done to the engine: new fuel injectors, new plugs, new plug wires, new distributor cap, new O2 sensor, new Temp II sensor, set timing, set CO mixture, set idle position and throttle switches, checked and repaired all vacuum lines (distributor advance works fine), checked and cleaned charcoal cannister, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new air filter. The car runs fine, no problems idling, going up hills, starting, or anything else. Is this normal Vanagon mileage or is there something else I should check? Thanks for any input. Geza
