I've seen those governor mods for the transmission posted here and
there.  I'm thinking of doing this even for my regular 2.1 engine.  It
really seems to shift up way to soon.  Around town I always keep the
selector in "2".  Otherwise I am in 3rd gear @ about 25mph, and slipping
the torque converter a lot, and feel like I am lugging the engine if I need
to accelerate up to 40 or 45 mph.  I thought maybe it was just my trans,
but I have now had 2 that have acted the same.  Anybody else done
conservative governor mods while running a 2.1?
