I have to say that the vanagon automatic sucks the gas more so than any
other automatic I have seen.  18+ is equilivant to 20 mpg,at least, if a 4
speed. City mileage can be 10mpg,even if all is well with the rest of the
vanagon.On the other hand, an automatic vanagon is the most fun I have had
with an automatic transmission.
