Subject:Re: Need more help with the luggage rack tie downs

from my old post to the list:

Can't help you with the stuck bolts but I replaced the hold downs
with stainless ones from West Marine,
these to be specific:

<http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?
storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=71910&catalogId=10001&
classNum=340&subdeptNum=323&storeNum=2>

one of the sizes shown fits pretty good. I used stainless bolts
(1/4"), flat and lock washers, and drilled out holes in rack
slightly to fit the bolt.

They stand higher than the stock hold downs which I think is a good
thing.

Well, after waiting a week with no shipping confirmation from GoWesty
like I
always get from BusDepot, I emailed them to find out that my luggage
rack
tie downs are back ordered and they don't know when they will get more.

So, can some one point me to another source for replacements? I
checked out
WestMarine.com, but could not find measurements on their fairleads. Has
anyone ordered tie downs from any vendor that lined up with the factory
holes?

Does anyone else have any good ideas for something else to put in those
holes other than tie downs? I don't use the luggage rack. I am
thinking of
just putting some rubber plugs in for now.

thanks,
