Make sure it's one of the 7 inch (175mm) grinders. You will eat up a gross (144) of metal cutting disks with a 4.5 inch (112mm) grinder. Ask me how I know. Better off would be an oxy-acetylene torch with a cutting head on it. tim in san jose On 4/17/06, Jens Jakob Andersen <jayjay@zorck.dk> wrote: > > Hi, > > I am going to scrap the blue vanagon, and part it as much as I can. > > An idea that I got. > > Besides taking all parts that can be taken, I thought of using an > angle grinder, and cut out the window frames. > > Guess that it would be nice at a later time (to repair rust) to have > some good pieces of original window frame, to use for repair. > > Anyone done this before? > > In fact, I could cut out all good metal parts, and beyond a stock of > good parts, also get a stock of body-metal repair parts. > > Anyone did this? > > And I happily receive feedback on the idea. > > Best regards > > Jens Jakob > -- Where ever you are, there you be.
