Hi Folks,

After a solid week at the shop, during which there were several more
frustrating trials and tribulations, I brought home my Subaru 2.2-Powered
(note "powered," not just "equipped") Vanagon this evening.

91 days after I pulled the hatch and started work on removing the 1.9, she's
a runner.  There are still a few odds and ends to finish up, but MAN the
extra power is amazing!  My rusted 1.9 muffler makes it sound like a Mustang
Mach 1.  Okay not really, but it does have a throaty rumble...

Thanks everybody who gave me encouragement and suggestions after my moments
of teetering on the brink of Vanag-insanty.  I do appreciate it.

Hopefully soon I'll have some photos on my website, preferably of me going
up Mount Evans at sixty miles per hour.
